Application Process

The application process for the 2025-2026 internship year is completely online (See the APPIC website, www.natmatch.com/psychint/ for more details). All application materials must be uploaded via the applicant portal on the APPIC website. We will not accept paper or emailed materials.  The Center conforms to APPIC Match Policies regarding internship applications, interviews and decisions, including the stipulation that no person at this training facility will solicit, accept, or use any ranking-related information from an intern applicant.

The University of Illinois may conduct background checks on all job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent offer. Background checks will be performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

  • Application Requirements

    • Completed AAPI (including Verification of Readiness for Internship section)
    • Curriculum vita
    • Three letters of recommendation; at least two should be from clinical supervisors
    • Cover letter (please include: program accreditation status, type of degree program, and years of graduate education in psychology)
    • Graduate school transcripts

    Start Date: August 11, 2025

    Application Due Date: November 3, 2024

    Interviews:  January 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, 2025, conducted virtually with phone as a backup method

    Virtual Open House: Thursday, January 23, 2025, 10am-12pm CST
