What to Expect When Working with Me Heading link

Each of us holds the power to create a meaningful life, even in the face of the many challenges that life throws at us. Integrating principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), our work will involve learning practical tools to navigate difficult thoughts and emotions more effectively and building self-compassion. Utilizing Relational-Cultural Theory, our work will also involve exploring your relationships, addressing past disconnections, and developing new patterns of relating to yourself and others. Our personal journeys are influenced by our individual experiences, our sociocultural and historical contexts, and the systems that we operate within. By understanding the unique relationship between intersecting identities and experiences while acknowledging the impact of systemic barriers, we can address challenges with a broader perspective that respects your individuality and incorporates your strengths. Through collaborative sessions, I’m committed to helping you explore your values, weave them into your decisions, and craft a path that reflects your authentic self. I recognize the courage and vulnerability it takes to engage in this work, and I am dedicated to providing a safe, trusting, and affirmative environment for us to work together towards reaching your goals.

About Me Heading link

I grew up in central New Jersey and I am a second-generation Indian American currently pursuing my doctoral training in clinical psychology. In my free time, I enjoy watching lots of movies and TV (especially silly reality shows!), reading, hanging out with my cat named Pesto, playing video games, and going for walks.
