What to Expect When Working with Me Heading link

I approach therapy from a cognitive behavioral-cultural-interpersonal focus is helping identifying thoughts, emotions, and behavior patterns to dictate core belief of oneself. A multicultural orientation is a lens that I attach to my overall approach to therapy. My approach is being culturally responsive to who you are and understanding the ways in which your identity influences the way you navigate life. I believe in fostering a space where individuals can unlearn, learn, and relearn parts of themselves so they are liberated from certain experiences while embracing the power they have within themselves to live the life that is most important to them. My philosophy of the therapeutic process is one that is transparent, collaborative, and psychoeducational.

About Me Heading link

I was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois. I am 5th year doctoral intern in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on Sport and Performance. In my spare time I really enjoy working out, watching ESPN, mentoring, and being a dad to my daughter.  I am passionate about helping people develop self-care routine and holistic health, realizing their infinite potential, and helping people become the best version of themselves.
