What to Expect When Working with Me Heading link
My person-centered and culturally inclusive approach honors one’s unique perspectives and strengths. By focusing on the relational dynamics and societal factors that influence your experiences, I aim to empower you to create meaningful change and foster a deeper sense of self-understanding. I value the impact of culture, family of origin, and our interpersonal connections in how we make sense of our world. In therapy, we will address patterns and cycles that no longer serve you. Others describe me as genuine, serene, and supportive. I meet clients where they are at—you are the expert of your story. You can expect a safe, affirming, and judgment-free environment with me that honors every part of your identity.

About Me Heading link
I was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN. I am a proud daughter of immigrant parents from Eritrea. As a first-generation student myself, I have always prioritized feeling seen and heard in academic spaces. After completing my undergraduate degree in psychology at Indiana University, I moved to Chicago to begin graduate school. I’ve worked in community mental health centers, emergency rooms, private practice, and community colleges. I am completing my doctoral training in clinical psychology at Roosevelt University and working as a doctoral extern at UIC in Chicago. Outside of psychology, I enjoy working out, watching comedies, learning the bass guitar, and trying new foods with friends and family. I enjoy making playlists and finding joy in discovering new music.
