Let's Talk is an opportunity for students to talk to a representative from the counseling center (me) about any questions or curiosities they may have about therapy. This is also a great opportunity for them to get to know their peers and recognize that struggling in college is often a universal experience and that they are not alone. This is a FREE and low stakes option for students who are needing some support but apprehensive about seeking therapy. Let's Talk will be weekly, and the CHANCE office will often provide snacks or pizza!
A note about CHANCE: this office primarily serves first generation, low income, and underrepresented students. They provide services such as tutoring, mentoring, and support from the time high school students are looking into UIC as an option to the time they graduate from UIC!
