As cliche as it sounds, I firmly believe that care-work and healing is not a one-size-fits-all equation. I center your experiences, values, identity, and socialization and seek to understand you, as a whole person, through a prism of power and privilege. I ground our work in Black feminist theory and praxis, relational cultural theory, multiculturalism, liberation, and well-being, to integrate a healing plan specifically tailored to your needs. Simply put, authenticity, mutuality, reciprocity, and effective communication are vital to support and healing.

I am a proud momma of an 8-year-old English Bulldog/Boxer mix. I am a fat Black (Black-white biracial) ciswoman with many salient identities that shape my worldview. I absolutely love qualitative research, particularly narrative and autoethnographic inquiry with Black femmes. I have worked in various mental and behavioral health settings including community mental health, forensic residential, and veteran affairs, but my joy and passion come from working with university students (fun fact: this is my fourth year working in college counseling). I am an avid listener of audiobooks, all things R&B music, and chronically scrolling on TikTok.
