*Coronavirus Update: Impact on Counseling Center Hours
Due to utmost concerns for health and safety during this time of COVID-19, the Counseling Center is continuing to offer its services online. You may call the Counseling Center phone number at 312-996-3490 during current business hours (9am-5pm) to schedule an appointment, ask a question, or to contact a counselor. If calling after hours, press 2 to be connected to a crisis counselor.
Starting July 6th, the Counseling Center will re-open with a limited number of staff physically present from 10am-4pm Monday-Friday, to support specific student needs. Appointments for in-person clinical services at the Counseling Center will not be offered until further notice to keep both staff and students safe. Our clinical services will continue to be offered via Zoom-PHI telehealth.
Until further notice, Individuals who come to the Counseling Center will be required to: 1) Wear a face mask and 2) display a Green UIC Daily Pass to enter the office.
-Initial consultations are being conducted by video, using a secure online video platform (e.g., Zoom-PHI). Call the Counseling Center at 312-996-3490 to schedule an initial consultation.
-Counselors are providing individual therapy services using a secure online video platform and phone, with video being preferred.
-While some of our therapy group activity has been suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Counseling Center is offering select process and structured groups, as well as workshops remotely via secure online video platforms. Click here for more information on current groups being offered.
-If you are currently receiving psychiatric services at the Counseling Center, please email your psychiatrist to arrange for a time to speak with her about plans for your continued treatment during this time.
-If you suspect you have come into contact with someone with the coronavirus, or are having symptoms of fever, cough or difficulty breathing, we ask that you seek medical evaluation. If you need to speak with a counselor urgently or need other resources, let us know during your call.

-We appreciate your support of UIC students and are available to consult regarding how best to support a student(s).

Evening hours by appointment only, Monday-Thursday.
We are open during term breaks, except for university holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day when the Student Services Building is officially closed.

The Counseling Center is on the corner of Harrison and Racine. The Inter-Campus Shuttle bus stops in front of the building, and it is easily accessible by public transportation via the Harrison Street bus or the Blue Line of the CTA train (Racine Station).
